of San Antonio-based rapper BTB Savage through a rented 2020 Subaru Outback, and even interviewed the man after he was arrested on an unrelated charge in New Braunfels, according to new court documents filed in the case.
Witnesses at the scene told police they noticed a black SUV stop just before the shooting, a man get out of the vehicle and began firing at a white Mercedes sedan, according to court filings. The black SUV then fled the scene after the shooting. Houston police then reached out to New Braunfels detectives and requested a check on Burley’s listed address, where they found the SUV parked in the driveway, according to court documents. On March 31, detectives received a search warrant for the vehicle and a SWAT team stopped it about 100 feet from Burley’s residence.
Police asked her if there had been any recent deaths in the family, and she said that Burley’s cousin died in either January or February, but she didn’t know the details, according to court documents.
