Aga Mathieson, prosecuting, said the men didn't know each other but were sitting together in a pub on the day of the incident. The victim was taken to hospital where a 6cm wound to his head was stitched. A small cut to his arm has left a scar.Defence agent Jackson Bateman said Sommerville was with his girlfriend in the pub and "comments were exchanged" with the victim."My client apologises for the delay in this case being dealt with. He was homeless for a period of time.
