An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after an 18-year-old died in Altrincham.
Police on patrol discovered a teenager on Booth Road road at around 5am on Saturday morning . He had sustained serious injuries, and sadly died at the scene. Officers have now confirmed the incident was a hit and run, and have arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.Police say the victim climbed onto the bonnet of a vehicle - a grey Ford Ka - and he was driven across the junction of Dunham Road onto Booth Road. He fell from the bonnet and tragically sustained fatal injuries.Officers are now appealing to anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation to get in touch.
