On Saturday, May 20, an unknown person forced their way onto the Tovrea Castle property, damaging the basement doors and a historical exhibit.Officials say a 46-year-old man was arrested on June 1 in connection to the incident.The man was re-arrested for the additional charges of burglary and felony criminal damage.
The total estimated damage was originally evaluated to be $90,000, but Phoenix police have since said the damage was valued at about $50,000. It is the second incident at the historical property in the past few weeks, according to Silent Witness.
