A man has been arrested after an elderly couple were allegedly assaulted and carjacked in Sydney after they agreed to give a stranger a lift. 9News
"I'd just like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying this man," the detective said.It occurred about 12pm on December 13 after a man offered a 81-year-old woman and 90-year-old man help carrying their grocery shopping to their car in Casula.While driving, the woman allegedly noticed the man steal her phone from her handbag and pulled over and asked him to get out.
After leaving the gold Nissan Micra, he allegedly assaulted the woman and drove off with the 90-year-old passenger still in his seat before pushing him out in the nearby suburb, Liverpool.
