Police have located the body of a woman, believed to be 28, inside an apartment in Penrith while the victim's car was later found 'burnt-out' in nearby bushland.
Police arrested the 38-year-old man at a home on Robinson Road in Cranebrook at about 3.25am on Tuesday. Police have formed"Strike Force Diere" to investigate the woman's death as inquiries surrounding the incident continue.
"Detectives from Nepean PAC – assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad – have formed Strike Force Diere to investigate her death," the statement continued.
