A 46-year-old man was arrested in Nhulunbuy, Australia, for allegedly helping an escaped rehab patient join a drug-importing syndicate. Police allege the pair drove over 4600km from Sydney to the Northern Territory.
The Australian Federal Police will allege in court that the man drove to Sydney to collect a man who allegedly escaped from a rehab facility in Swan Bay, north of Newcastle.The man who had allegedly escaped from the rehab centre was arrested by Border Force oficials on January 26.
It will be alleged in court that the pair then drove about 4600km in a camper van to Queensland and then to the Northern Territory via the Central Arnhem Road.
