Jerome McKane allegedly met up with the victim after messaging on Facebook Marketplace regarding the sale of a gold necklace.
Jerome McKane, 24, was arrested late Thursday morning on a first-degree felony aggravated robbery charge for allegedly stealing a gold necklace from a victim on Saturday in the 300 block of N. New Braunfels Avenue on the East Side.
McKane and the victim met in an H-E-B parking lot near the intersection of East Houston Street and North New Braunfels Avenue before heading to a nearby EZ Pawn store to ensure the necklace was real.
