The 27-year-old was arrested on Thursday morning in Villawood, in Sydney's west, following an investigation into an alleged hay sale scam. Strike Force Woden was formed earlier this week by the New South Wales Rural Crime Prevention team to investigate the scam. It complaints made to police by people who paid to buy hay advertised on Facebook, only for the seller to not deliver anything.

Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside from the Rural Crime Prevention Team said the alleged crime is the"lowest of low".
