Police arrest a Port Wakefield man after an alleged crime spree in the state's Mid North, while four people have been injured in other crashes in the state overnight.

A man has been arrested after allegedly forcing two vehicles with babies in them off the road, biting a woman and stealing her vehicle north of Adelaide.He allegedly forced two cars off the road near TarleePolice said the alleged crime spree began at Freeling, near Tarlee, at about 8:30pm on Saturday.

Police said a family travelling through the state's Mid North on the Horrocks Highway was forced off the road by another car at about 9:00pm, causing their car to roll several times.It is alleged the man then left the scene, crashed into another car and forced it off the road before assaulting the driver and biting a female passenger on the arm.Stockport is about an hour north of Adelaide.

Officers said a Stockport resident then contacted police at about 2:00am, saying a man had entered her home requesting a blanket.
