A man has been left in a stable condition in Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a serious assault on Stravannan Road in Castlemilk on Wednesday, April 17.

Emergency services flooded the scene on Stravannan Road in Castlemilk after receiving reports of an incident at around 5.05pm.

An image from the road shows a cordon put in place by officers.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.05pm on Wednesday, 17 April 2024, police were called to a report that a man had been seriously assaulted on Stravannan Road, Castlemilk, Glasgow.

"The man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
