Victim in his 40s hurt in attack while out jogging
At around 10.30am, a man in his 40s told Merseyside Police that he had been attacked from behind by someone he didn't know and sustained a stab wound to his stomach. The force are now appealing for witnesses to come forward following the serious assault in Southport on Monday, April 1.
The victim was able to return home and didn’t require hospital treatment. Nothing was reported stolen and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
