Wait, where did those double yellow lines come from 🚗
A man returned home during a lunch break to find he had been barred from parking outside his own home.
Kevin Macfarlane, 58, was shocked to discover a set of double yellow lines on his street in Edinburgh on August 9. A new restriction appeared to mean that only those with a driveway were able to park their cars on the road. Kevin, who lives on Turnhouse Road in the west of the city, said the move has angered him and his neighbours.The 58-year-old said: ‘I just came home for lunch from my work to find they have painted double yellow lines outside my home and on both sides of Turnhouse Road. It must have happened between 08.30am and 12.30pm.Kevin spoke with others in the street and it emerged ‘nobody had any consultation’ on the works.
He added: ‘I don’t know what we are going to do now to park our cars. Most households have two cars, and although some have a driveway, not all of us do.
