Friends of Mr Bajwa have remembered him as a "source of light and love".Police will allege he was killed by 31-year-old Ishtpal Singh, who will face court again in May.A man has faced court over the alleged murder of a 36-year-old father whose body was found in a park on Melbourne's western outskirts.
The remains of Anmol Bajwa were discovered around 7:30am at a children's playground near Elementary Road in Mambourin, close to Wyndham Vale, on Tuesday morning.Anmol Bajwa's body was found near a Mambourin playground on Tuesday morning.An online fundraiser, set up to support Mr Bajwa's wife and children, described him as "a father, a husband and a loving son".
"Anmol was a community and family orientated person who worked hard to build a better life in Australia," the tribute read."Anmol was a source of love, light, and inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will forever remain in our hearts," Mr Khera wrote.
Dressed in a buttoned-up blue shirt, Mr Singh was brought into Melbourne Magistrates' Court dock for a filing hearing on Wednesday, flanked by two security officers. Given the early stage of the case, he was not required to speak or enter a plea to the charge. Details of the allegations against Mr Singh were not read out to the court.Mr Singh's lawyer Michael Haralambous told Magistrate Matthew Page it was his client's first time in custody and that he was on antidepressant medication.
