Police managed to negotiate with a man who abducted a young woman in her own car from a Gold Coast shopping centre. 9News
A 47-year-old man has been charged after a woman was allegedly abducted in her own car from a Gold Coast shopping centre.
"We're quite fortunate in that the Bluetooth has actually kicked in and the mother could overhear the conversation and what was going on in the vehicle and she had the foresight to ring police," Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said. For 19km the woman drove as negotiators tried reasoning with the man. At one point he allegedly lashed out, hitting her in the face as she drove.
