Police said the shooting was not linked to a gang, but rather, a personal disagreement.
Mohammad Chami, 40, was killed after an alleged public place shooting in Merrylands at 11.50pm on March 2, 2023.
Police had earlier found a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his buttocks at a service station at the intersection of Pitt Street and Neil Street in Merrylands.At 7am today, detectives arrested 41-year-old man from a unit in Mascot over both the wounding and murder.
