A 42-year-old Henley Brook man has been remanded in custody following a carjacking and pursuit that ended when he was allegedly found hiding inside the roof of a suburban home.
A woman was refuelling the vehicle while her two children sat inside, when police say the man jumped into the driver's seat and started the car. The woman tried to release her child but the man allegedly drove off with all three of them inside the car. The car was spotted roughly an hour later on Kalamunda Road in South Guildford, sparking a pursuit that ended in Middle Swan when the car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Roe Highway and Toodyay Road.
