A man has been charged over a wild brawl with a prominent rugby league journalist outside a popular eatery in Sydney's inner-west over the weekend.

The vision then showed Kent and the unidentified man throwing punches at one another, before the fight spilled onto the street as bystanders tried to intervene. It was initially not known when the incident occurred, but police confirmed on Monday it had happened late on Saturday about 11:20pm.
