Police were called to a shopping centre near the intersection of Darling and Beattie Street, Balmain about 8.45am to reports a man was performing an offensive gesture.A NSW Police car. He was arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with knowingly display by public act Nazi symbol without excuse, make a gesture in a public place that is a Nazi salute, hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, and behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school.
"It is important that the community and police continue to work together to make NSW a safer place for everyone."
