A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly going on a rampage with a tomahawk at a shopping centre just outside Melbourne. 9News
The alleged attack was witnessed by around 20 people, with some of them attempting to stop the man before police arrived and arrested him a short time later.
"When I was sitting in the car, I heard some screams and I saw a guy chasing another guy with a weapon," witness Grant Perry told 9News. "It was really full on, throwing full on blows with the weapon to the guy's head. The other guy was screaming 'stop, help, help'. It was pretty awful.""We have no idea what was going on or why he did it...no indication he knew anybody that he's attacked," Sergeant Sarah Blackmore told reporters.
