A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of running a red light, crashing and killing a teen riding his motorcycle early Monday morning near Interstate 10, Goodyear police said.
Christopher Clark faces charges of homicide, assault and driving under the influence on suspicion of causing the death of Carson Smith, 19, of Goodyear, police said. Officers responded around 1:50 a.m. to a crash involving two vehicles and a motorcycle at Pebble Creek Parkway and the I-10. Smith was unresponsive and taken to hospital and later died from"extensive" injuries,Investigating officers found probable cause that Clark was under the influence of drugs when police say he drove through a red light causing the wreck, according to police.
