A 30-year-old Narangba man was arrested on Friday afternoon when police intercepted his car. He was later charged overnight with murder and is due in court on Saturday morning.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhas been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning.
A man has been charged with the alleged murder of a 25-year-old woman who was shot in the head at her Sunshine Coast home yesterday morning.
Earlier, investigations revealed that the woman was shot shortly after 9am yesterday, during a disturbance in Coolum Street, Dicky Beach.The accused, a 30-year-old Narangba man, was intercepted by police and arrested about 20 kilometres away, at Sippy Downs, about six hours after the incident.In an earlier statement, police said the man was "taken into custody without incident" and was "assisting with investigations".
"However, preliminary investigations suggest this is not a domestic-related incident," police said in a statement.
