A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody after allegations he murdered a teenager whose body was found in bushland in Sydney’s south-west.The 15-year-old’s body was found in bushland in Wilton at about 7.25am on Saturday.
Following a public appeal for information, Grieg was arrested after presenting himself at Narellan police station shortly after 4pm,He was charged with murder and is expected to next appear in court by audio-visual link on 8 January.Police believe roughly a dozen young campers may have gathered on Friday evening near the area where the body was found.
Acting Supt Tim Calman said state crime officers were called to the location to help as there were “a lot of moving parts”.“We put our thoughts out to the family,” he said. “They will be doing it tough this afternoon.” Police are appealing for anyone with knowledge of the incident or dash cam or mobile footage to come forward, as well as anyone who might have been in the area since 6pm on Friday.– with Australian Associated Press
