The man is facing allegations he murdered a man and attempted to murder a woman in the Melbourne suburb of Reservoir on Wednesday.
Police have charged a man in Melbourne's north with murder and attempted murder following an alleged attack on Wednesday morning.
The 32-year-old was charged early Thursday morning following the incident at Willoughby Street in Reservoir that left a man, 29, dead at the scene and a woman, 65, in hospital. Victoria Police said emergency services were called to the property around 8:20am Wednesday after receiving reports of an "assault with an edged weapon".
The accused has been remanded and is scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
