Man charged with murder of woman found ‘stabbed to death’
A MAN has been charged with murder after a woman, 56, was horrifically stabbed to death yesterday.West Yorkshire Police were called to Ripon Avenue, in Fartown yesterday morning to reports of a woman with serious stab woundsThe 56-year-old will appear before Leeds magistrates today, facing another charge of possession of an offensive weapon.yesterday morning to reports of a woman with serious stab wounds.
The victim had received emergency treatment at the scene but tragically died a short while later in hospital. A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Roger Harriott, of Manchester Road, Linthwaite, has been detained in police custody to appear before the morning session of Leeds Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Sandra Harriott.
