A man received three citations Saturday night after driving an unauthorized vehicle onto the NASCAR racetrack, police said.

The 46-year-old man drove into a barrier around 9 p.m., just after the night’s race was postponed due to lightning, a preliminary investigation suggested. Police apprehended the man in the 1200 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.NASCAR representatives declined to comment on the incident.
