It's believed the man may have been welding when an explosion left him with severe burns.
A man in his 40s is in a critical condition suffering severe burns to more than half of his body after reports of a possible explosion at his workplace in Sydney's west on Monday.
A spokesman for Fire and Rescue NSW said firefighters arrived to at the industrial park on Third Avenue to find a car on fire and a patient suffering burns.
