Police believe the shooting is linked to a Porsche found on fire a few suburbs away.
An alleged gunman is on the run today after a man was killed in a shooting in Sydney's inner city overnight.
Emergency services were called to Baptist Street Surry Hills, near Cleveland Street, following reports of shots fired at about 7.45pm.Teen boy wants justice after allegedly being dragged by busWitnesses said they heard four to five gunshots and described seeing a man in a balaclava opening fire.NSW Ambulance paramedics tried to treat him but the man died at the scene.
A short time later, emergency services were called to Kensington Road, Kensington, following reports of a car fire. Police arrived to find a Porsche on fire.Initial inquiries suggest the two incidents are linked.A crime scene has been established as local detectives and members of the state homicide squad investigate the incident.Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
