A man has died after a boat crashed into a marine marker off South Stradbroke Island.
Paramedics, police officers and Volunteer Marine Rescue vessels were called to the scene about 11am on Friday.
A police spokeswoman said the crash location was described as off the northern tip of South Stradbroke Island and near a stretch of water known as “Millionaires’ Row” off the northern banks of the island. The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed one male patient was declared dead at the scene, while a second man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries.
