Armed man who threatened family dies nearly a week after being shot by Fort Worth police
Witnesses told police Cornelio pointed his gun at people inside the home before fleeing in his truck, police said.
Police said Cornelio made phone calls to family members threatening to kill his wife and himself while being pursued by police as he was driving back toward the home on Olive Place. Dash-camera footage showed a police vehicle ramming into Cornelio’s truck during the pursuit. Gunfire could be heard in the video and the truck comes to a stop against a police vehicle.
It was unclear how many officers shot at Cornelio or whether he fired at police. The names of the officers involved in the shooting have not been released, and an investigation is ongoing..
