The man who died arrived at University Hospital in a stolen car, investigators said.

An investigation into the alleged incident began shortly after 1 a.m. when Paterson Police officers were called to Belmont Avenue and North 10th Street in the city for a report of a stolen car, according to a joint statement from theAs they were responding, they received a report of shots fired in the area at 125 Belmont Ave., but when they arrived, they found neither the stolen car nor a shooting victim, police said.
Rosebrough was arrested by the Rutgers Police Department at University Hospital in Newark and he was then transferred to the custody of the Paterson Police Department for processing, police said.
