Police said the cause of death is under investigation.
DALY CITY – A man was found dead Wednesday afternoon at Thornton Beach in Daly City, police said.
Officers and firefighters were called to Skyline Drive and Lynvale Court around 1:40 p.m. for a report of a body on a nearby trail, according to the Daly City Police Department. Police said the remains were found by a hiker and appeared to be those of an elderly man who had been dead for a while. The cause of the death was not known Thursday and is being investigated by the police department and the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office, according to police.Check back for updates.
