A 45-year-old man is killed in a suspected hit and run incident at Caboolture, north of Brisbane, with police saying it is possible the driver is unaware their vehicle hit the man.
A 45-year-old man has been killed in a suspected hit and run incident at Caboolture, north of Brisbane this morning.
Police said a cyclist reported finding a body near the intersection of Porter and Beerburrum roads around 7:00am. Officers said initial investigations indicate the man was walking near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved was not at the scene and police said it was possible the driver was unaware their vehicle had hit the man.The Forensic Crash Unit and detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating.
Early this morning, police closed off the road between Porter Road and Tuckeroo Drive as a crime scene, but the road has since reopened.Police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward or for anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to contact them.
