A drunken thug became infuriated after losing his XL bully and chased a dog walker with a hammer before stealing his Pomeranian.
He then accused Mr Lane of being involved in the theft while swinging the weapon around. "The court will have read about his heavy drinking over recent years. He recognises that that is a hugely negative aspect of his life."It may well be that the recognition of that misuse is the first step towards him moving forwards. He has reduced his intake recently of his own accord."
