The area has been cordoned off
A man has been hospitalised after sustaining a "knife injury" to his arm. Police were called to Sandon Street, New Basford, shortly after 11am on Saturday, July 16 following reports that a man had been assaulted.
Superintendent Amy Styles-Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are at the very early stages of this investigation and are working to understand what happened. We would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident and would urge them to call 101 quoting incident number 268 of 16 July 2022.
A resident who did not wish to be named and lives right next to cordon on Sandon Street said: “I saw the police going past earlier but didn’t even notice the cordons until now. It’s a bit of a surprise because I didn’t hear anything really. There’s always police coming through here. Been here three years and I’ve never seen them set up like this.”
