A man who was attacked five weeks ago by two dogs and left with life-threatening injuries, has died.
Colin Amatto, 40, sustained injuries to "his face, to his abdomen, to his chest; he sustained quite a significant number of bites," NSW Ambulance Inspector Phil Templeman said shortly after the attack."Everybody who was on scene, and such a horrific and distressing scene, should be commended for their efforts to try and bring these animals under control and potentially saved the lives of these victims.
In a separate incident, a 70-year-old woman has been bitten by a dog when she was walking her own dog in Sydney’s west on Saturday morning.The woman was taken to Auburn Hospital for treatment. Her dog suffered lacerations to its stomach and is in the care of a vet.
