He was then handed over to paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service, who raced him to hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.A statement from Berwick Coastguard Rescue reads: "Berwick Coastguard was tasked yesterday to assist in the search for a small pleasure boat that had capsized in the area of Eyemouth after setting out from St Abbs earlier in the day. A multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched after the boat capsized.
"The casualty was brought into Eyemouth Harbour by the lifeboat, and cared for by the lifeboat crew. He was then transferred over to Scottish Ambulance Service who transported him to hospital for treatment. The boat was safely towed back to St Abbs harbour by St Abbs Lifeboat and our team set up an emergency helicopter landing site, alongside Eyemouth Coastguard.
