Police said Thursday that investigators determined Spell was the gunman in the March 15 shooting at Bitter End in the 2800 block of Elm Street, and he now faces a charge of capital murder. It was unclear whether he had an attorney in the murder case; an attorney listed for him in the other cases did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
