Garland police are investigating a homicide after a car that crashed into a building and caught on fire was found to have had two victims with gunshot wounds inside.
About 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to an apartment building on the 4600 block of Saturn Road. A car crashed into a building, caught on fire, and the flames were beginning to spread to the apartments, police said. Firefighters responded and found two people inside with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital. Quincy Lee Branch, 22, of Dallas, was pronounced dead. The other victim, a 19-year-old Fort Worth man, is expected to survive.
Police have not described the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information should call Garland police at 972-485-4840.. Michael D.
