Three people were fatally shot in Paterson on Sunday.
Paterson has experienced its fourth deadly shooting in less than 36 hours, investigators confirmed Tuesday after a 23-year-old was killed in the area of Broadway and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Two others were shot in the area, a 19-year-old Elmwood Park man and a 57-year-old Paterson resident, the office said. They were both taken to the hospital where the 19-year-old was listed in critical condition and the Paterson man was in stable condition. They were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where the man died and the woman was being treated for her injuries, authorities said.occurred in the area of Van Houten and Cianci streets at 9:22 p.m. when a Paterson Police officer heard gunshots at 9:22 p.m., investigators said.
