A man was killed early Thursday in a shooting with police, who said he pointed a gun at a Guadalupe SWAT team during a standoff that followed a traffic stop in Seguin.The incident began at 1:46 a.m. when an officer initiated a traffic stop on a white Suzuki SX4 along the North State Highway 123 Bypass and Mockingbird Lane, Seguin police said. Police did not say what prompted them to stop the compact crossover.The driver, Saucedo, did not pull over immediately.
At that point, Seguin police ordered three people to get out of the vehicle. The two passengers complied, but Saucedo stayed in the driver’s seat.Negotiators tried to convince him to get out with no success. At 3 a.m., Seguin police called for help from Guadalupe County SWAT. Negotiations continued until the SWAT team used gas to force the man out, but he remained in the driver’s seat.On ExpressNews.com:
