A 40-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday night at an apartment complex in west Oak Cliff, according to Dallas police.
The shooting happened about 9:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of Perryton Drive, off South Hampton Road. The victim, Geoffrey Jones, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police said an investigation determined Jones and another man got into an argument before Jones was shot.
