Man left seriously hurt after tree fell on him and killed his friend speaks of moments before tragedy
A man who was left badly injured after a tree fell on him and killed his friend has spoken of the moments before the horrific accident.

Last Thursday, October 9, Sam went to meet Darnell during his shift as a traffic warden so the pair could catch-up, and were just walking away from the canal where they'd been helping a woman when tragedy struck.
Sam also paid tribute to the Darley Street neighbourhood, who rushed out to help shortly after the tragic accident. He added: "A huge thank you to the neighbourhood who were all out in force to help on the day of the tree falling. Hannah has been to visit a couple times to check on Darnell's memorial and has come back with such overwhelming love and support from them and have asked how I am.
Darnell, who spent most of his spare time gaming, loved walking, animals, and playing airsoft. The straight A student, who went to Barton Clough Primary School before heading to Altrincham College of Arts High School, worked hard at South Trafford College to get into five different universities, settling on UCLAN Preston University to study directing and film, a huge passion which saw him create videos in his spare time for a YouTube channel.
