One man has been arrested and another is on the run after an alleged armed crime spree in Sydney's south-west overnight.
About 10pm, two allegedly armed men bashed a mother in front her kids for her car on Mona Vale Place in Woodbine "She told me they hit her head, this side with the gun and they got a machete," the woman's husband Peter Deng told 9News."My daughter heard her crying, she opened the door and they tried to hit my daughter.", police were called to Crowley Boulevard in Claymore.
Usman Haider had been pulling into his driveway when he was threatened by a man wielding a replica gun.The man's alleged accomplice then joined him and they both jumped into the stolen car but were unable to start it themselves.A stolen car crashed in Campbelltown overnight, prompting a foot pursuit as two men fled.
