KOTA KINABALU: A 30-year-old man was stopped from jumping from the 10th floor of a building here on Thursday (Aug 4).
Family members of the man managed to talk him out of it, said a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman.“The man has been handed over to the police for further actions and after inspections conducted on the location to ensure there were no safety risks,” he said, adding that the operation ended at 4.32pm.

Agnes Kihing, 72, died after the four-wheel-drive vehicle she was in skidded towards the ditch during the incident at 3.25pm Thursday at Jalan Kampung Delayan.
The 35-year-old driver who lost control of the car and an eight-year-old boy - another passenger - sustained minor injuries. “The two victims were brought to the Sook health clinic by ambulance while the remains of the elderly woman were handed over to the police,” said the spokesman.
