A man has been rescued from his backyard after his Adelaide home was engulfed by a fierce house fire that also threatened neighbouring properties.
The blaze, which originated in a front bedroom of the Valley View home, quickly spread throughout the house, causing significant damage estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. "I was a bit shocked, I thought my house was also going to get fire, but they don't allow me to get in," neighbour Manjeet Singh said.
