A man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend was shot and killed by her adult son on Monday morning, officials said.
Deputies learned that a physical altercation stemming from domestic violence had broken out between a man and his ex-girlfriend a few blocks away at a home in the 12100 block of Mountain Daisy Road.During the disturbance, the woman reportedly got into her car and tried to drive away. That's when the ex-boyfriend tried to drag the woman out of her car, Sgt. Jason Brown with Harris County Sheriff's Office said.
That's when the 27-year-old son pulled out a firearm and shot at the man several times, striking him at least once, Brown said. He was wounded and fled the scene on foot.
