Deputies said a woman called the victim when she got into an argument with his 33-year-old brother. When the brother arrived, the fight escalated to a deadly shooting, officials said.
Deputies arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his brother Thursday morning at a home in the Willis area.
At some point during the argument, the woman called Oscar's 30-year-old brother, Julio Martinez, for help to try and deescalate the situation. The woman called 911 and investigators said Oscar left in his truck. Deputies found him in the neighborhood and arrested him. He's charged with murder. Investigators said Oscar appeared to be intoxicated at the time.
"It was overwhelming when I heard it was two brothers. We really thought it was somebody in the house died. This is really shocking for the neighborhood because this doesn't happen here," neighbor Katina Spiller-Opperhammer said.
