A man has undergone emergency surgery after being stabbed in a suspected road rage attack in Sydney's south-west, with the alleged victim in a serious but stable condition. 9News
The 46-year-old was stopped at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Cabramatta Road in Cabramatta about 8pm yesterday.
Security footage captured the moment a black Toyota Aurion pulled up at the set of traffic lights before the Yaris.Two men are then seen getting out of the black car and allegedly stabbing the driver of the white vehicle in the abdomen. The Aurion is then seen leaving the scene while the Yaris rolls through an intersection, mounts a curb and stops on the footpath.READ MORE:
Investigators are looking into what led up to the stabbing, and believe it may have been connected to an earlier road rage incident involving another white SUV. "We do keep an open mind in relation to the fact that there was an interaction prior to the stabbing and what the connection may be," Detective Superintendent Michael McLean said."Most often these things don't just occur for no particular reason."Continue reading
