A man who says a Fort Worth police officer intentionally slammed him face-first into the ground while he was handcuff filed a federal lawsuit.
About 3 a.m. Jan. 28, 2022, Holloway was arrested by Fort Worth police officers on a public intoxication charge.
Miller grabbed Holloway in the area of his neck and shoulders and “threw” Holloway “face-first to the concrete floor,” which caused Holloway to lose consciousness, according to the lawsuit.The video shows what appears to be Miller and another officer talking about Holloway losing consciousness before Miller stands over Holloway, straddling him as he slightly lifts him up by his arm.
“Officer Miller grabbed Mr. Holloway and threw him face-first to the concrete floor,” the suit says. “Mr. Holloway did not ‘fall’ to the ground.”
